Luxury Holidays to Europe

Luxury Holidays to Europe

We often believe we have to travel thousands of miles for our next holiday, whereas in fact, we have an abundance of options right under our noses. We’re so fortunate to have Europe on our doorstep; countless cultures, cuisines & climates, landscapes from wintery slopes to rivers winding through the rich countryside, to the soft-sand beaches & beyond, and you can get to the majority of these in under 4 hours – the possibilities are endless! We’ve selected just a few of our favourite luxury destinations across Europe. Where’s your next adventure?

Some of our favourite destinations across europe

Florence

Fancy a long-weekend of rooftop bars, river strolls, hearty food & as much culture, art & history as you can handle? Florence is fantastic for a luxury citybreak. Streets adorned with boutique hotels – with an enoteca on every corner, of course – food markets that will leave your mouth watering and Renaissance architecture aplenty, it’s easy to lose yourself here… emotionally, we mean. From the city, it’s easy to explore the Tuscan countryside; rent a Vespa, go wine tasting or take a cooking class at a gorgeous villa. From the UK, you’ll more than likely fly into Pisa, so be sure to stop by the Leaning Tower for a famous selfie.

Santorini

Perhaps one of the most sought-after destinations in Europe, Santorini features on many a bucket-list. From the panoramic views across the caldera to the almost jenga-like design of towns perching on the steep cliffside, not to forget some truly stunning resorts. Many will stay close to Fira, but the black sand beaches of Kamari & Parissa are for those who dare to be different. If you’re searching for somewhere a little more low-key, the upscale village of Imerovigli is the place to be with luxury resorts boasting the finest sunset views on the island. Getting around the island is easy – you can rent a compact car, take the local bus or hire an ATV, if you’re feeling adventurous!

Kalkan

Hiding on the Southern coast of Turkey lies the fairly infamous resort town of Kalkan, full to the brim with luxury villas, narrow streets with rooftop restaurant serving delicious dishes and plenty of adventures for those who want it. Situated about 2 hours South of Dalaman, we’d recommend a minimum of 7 nights here to truly soak up the more rustic Turkish hospitality. Sure, there’s tourism wherever you look but this part of the region still feels fairly untouched. Villas to fit all sizes – often with gorgeous infinity pools overlooking one of the bays – a relaxing stay here never disappoints. From boat rides to beach clubs or poolside vibes, there’s something for everyone.

Ibiza

The home to famous nightclubs and a youthful party scene, but there’s so much more to Ibiza than you might think. 5-star resorts aplenty, luxury yacht trips, incredible gastronomy, quaint harbourtowns nestled along the coast, hidden beaches and so much more are on this Balearic island paradise – and the glowstick & paint parties are there if you want them, too! Cala Gració with its turquoise waters and proximity to San Antonio – the best sunset spot at Cafe del Mar – and Santa Eulalia are perfect for those wanting a little more seclusion, without being too far away from the action and with the island being 6 times smaller than neighbouring Majorca, it’s easy to get around.

Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast epitomises classic European luxury and of course, romance. Panoramic aspects like something out of an artists mind, spectacular landscapes, turquoise waters and pastel coloured towns adorn this beautiful region of Italy. What we love is that the destination can work as a single or multi-centre holiday – pair with Rome or Naples to combine a bustling city with quaint hillside villages of the Amalfi Coast or use Sorrento as a base to explore this region. We hope you’re hungry & thirsty, too, because there’s so much delicious, fresh produce and limoncello on every corner (not to forget the pizza!), you’re going to need an extra hole in your belt!

Lisbon tram

Lisbon

Explore Lisbon, Portugal’s bountiful capital, vibrant in every way. Overflowing with colourful art, trendy streets and old neighbourhoods, hidden squares and panoramic views, tasty treats at food markets and wine bars on every street corner, all combined with unforgettable sunsets from red rooftops and traditional trams winding through the backstreets. As well as a fabulous city break destination, turn your trip into an adventure by visiting the sandy shores of Cascais and the countryside of Alentejo to immerse yourself into the everything that not just Lisbon, but Portugal has to offer.
